Last night Mark and I went and saw the movie Coraline in 3D. I thought the glasses were too funny to not take a pic. Mark is trying to look hardcore in his cool glasses! ha ha. Oh and the movie was kinda weird and not really a kids movie like we thought it was. I probably wouldn't recommend taking kids to see it.Saturday, March 21, 2009
We're funny :)
Last night Mark and I went and saw the movie Coraline in 3D. I thought the glasses were too funny to not take a pic. Mark is trying to look hardcore in his cool glasses! ha ha. Oh and the movie was kinda weird and not really a kids movie like we thought it was. I probably wouldn't recommend taking kids to see it.Why don't I know Spanish dang it!!!!!??!?!
These cute kiddos sang I am a Child of God in spanish to us! It just about made me cry! They are so cute.
Berto and Alejandra Chavez fam, with Brother Cook and us. Mark taught Alejandra and her son Moises and they were baptised when he was there. She also made us Flautas while we were there visiting and they were dang good!!!
Here is my man helping Brother Gilbert (who we stayed with) do something to get ready for putting up a swing set for his grandkids. It was funny though, Mark was sore for a couple days after this! Those farm boys sure know how to work!!
Manrique and Maria Torres and fam! Mark also taught Maria and she was baptised when he was there.
Here is us with.....ah!! I can't remember their last name. I'm bad. Mark taught the Dad Carlos (I think that's his name) and later the whole fam was baptised!!!!
Gustavo and Ernestina Espino and fam. Mark got to baptise Ernestina! It was really neat to see! Gustavo, the husband, has been a member of the church for 10 years and patiently waited for his wife to be converted. Well....she was converted and baptised last Saturday!!!
Jose and Angelica Cavasos fam. Mark taught this fam and they were baptised when he was on his mission.
Marco and Aide Espino family. Mark taught this fam and Marco and Adeleine, their daughter, got baptised while MArk was on his mission and Aide got baptised while we were there!
Here we are with Mark's mission President and his wife, President and Sister Clark. We had lunch with them on Wednesday right before we flew home. It was so fun!!!So I'm sure you can tell from the pictures, we went to Mark's mission!!! He served in the Washington Spokane mission...spanish speaking. A few weeks ago, he found out that 2 of his investigators were finally getting baptised. Circumstances worked out good, and we were able to go for them! So When one of his investigators, Ernestina, found out we were coming she asked Mark to baptise her. It was awesome!!! so last Friday we flew up and we were there for 5 days. We spent all 5 days visiting a ton of people that Mark got close to and it was amazing!!!!!! Everyone was so nice and we were fed way too well. ha ha. I can see now why Mark gained 40lbs on his mish. It was so great to see the impact my hubby had on so many lives. He was like a superstar up there! Anyway, we had a great time, and I'm glad I got to be a part of the excitement!!
Angel Whisperings to the Dying Child
Darling, we are waiting for thee,
Hasten now;
Go with us, where wreaths are twining
For thy brow.
In the Innocence of childhood,
Thou wilt be
Hailed with gentle shouts of welcome,
And of glee.
Joyous cherubs wait thy coming
Up above;
Ready now to crown and bless thee,
With their love.
Loved one, haste-delay no longer-
With us go
From a clime that intermingles
Joy and woe.
Go with us to heav'nly arbors,
Deck'd with flow'rs;
Where ambrosial fragrance, streaming,
Fills the bow'rs.
Thou art pure-by earth's corruptions
Undefiled;
From the ills of life, we'll take thee,
Sinless child.
Friends will mourn, but this bereavement
They'll endure;
Knowing that their cherished darling
Is secure.
Like a rosebud yet unopen'd,
Thou shalt bloom;
Where no blight shall mar thy freshness,
And perfume.
Child, we're waiting now to bear thee
To our home,
Full of life-of love and beauty,
Darling, come.

I am a Child of God
A friend of mine in my Mom's ward just sent me this, and I love it and had to share. This woman re-wrote the words to I am a child of god for those of us who have lost a baby.
I am a Child of God and He has called me home.
My journey's through but still, I do not walk alone.
He leads me, guides me, walks beside me, helps me find the way.
He welcomed me with open arms. I live with Him today.
I am a child of God and I have gone ahead.
My earthly life was brief but oh such peace and love you gave.
You loved me, held me, stood beside me and though I cannot stay,
You gave me much to help me and I live with Him today.
I am a child of God and I will wait for you.
Celestial glory shall be ours, if you can but endure.
I'll lead you, guide you, walk beside you,
help you find the way.
I'll welcome you with open arms
One bright Celestial day.

Yesterday
Yesterday was my due date. I really was anticipating it being a really hard day, but it wasn't too bad. The hard thing about it was thinking I would have been pregnant that long. (ha ha, that's a joke! I would have rather it been that way.) It almost seems like an eternity since Miles was born and past away. I really think it wasn't hard because I had a lot to do to keep my mind occupied. My grandpa was buried in the National Cemetery in Phoenix(where Veterans are buried) and it was a really cool experience. There was a Color Guard there who did the whole gun shooting thing (I dont know what it's called), played Tapps, and then they folded the American flag and presented it to my Grandma. I don't know why, but it made me really proud to live in America. With all the crazy stuff going on these days in our country, it's really hard sometimes to be proud to be an American. But after learning about my grandpa's military service and watching the presentation yesterday I really do feel proud. Anyway, back to Miles......I kept myself bus cleaning and doing other things, but then I had to find Miles Social Security card because my cousin was coming over to do our taxes. Of course it was at the bottom of the box of all his stuff. I really was doing good, but while going through all his stuff, I just lost it!!!! I just ache to have him. Sometimes I want to go back to the 2 days he was alive just to have him here. So after crying for a while, it was weird, I was just done! And then I felt much better. But I have decided that after watching my grandpa go through the dying process and having his funeral, etc, I am DONE with death. So no one better decide to die anytime soon!!!!!!

Jerome, Arizona
ME and my honey again!!!!!!
Here is Mark watching TV on our bed in the "Minor's Suite". That's the room we stayed in. I would definately recommend it!!
So since I was in the hospital for our first anniversary, and we haven't had any kind of vacation since Miles died, Mark and I decided to go for a little weekend getaway to Jerome, AZ. For any of you who have been there, you know just how cool that place is!!! It is an old Mining town that turned into a ghost town, and is now the coolest little place to go for the weekend. We stayed in a bed and breakfast place called the Ghost Inn and is over a hundred years old. It was so aweeome. We just spent the whole weekend realxing, walking around town and spending too much money!! It was so fun and really helped to get our minds off of life for a couple days. It was a blast!!!! So my advice is...if you are wanting to go on a romantic weekend getaway, Jerome is your place!!!!!! Oh and we went 2 weekends ago, I have just been lazy about downloading the pics.
My Grandpa
Well it happened. ON Monday at exactly 3:02pm my grandpa passed away. I watched him take his last breath. It was so peaceful, just like when Miles passed away. THere is something wonderful about being there when someone passes into the spirit world. It is such a great feeling. It's just later that doesn't feel so great. Yesterday, I woke up feeling really down. Even though I wasn't super close to him, I will miss him. And I'm jealous that he gets to see Miles, the Savior, all the great prohpets, etc. I'm sad that we all are left behind. After a really hard day, just thinking about my grandpa and Miles being gone, today has been so much better!! I am helping make the sign in book for the funeral, so I have going through tons of pictures of grandpa and it was so cool to see him at all stages of life. He was and is a great man. A WWII veteran, a wonderful husband, father, a hard worker(a perfectionist if you ask me) and just a great man. In the last few years, his health and stamina has gone way down, so I know now he is back to himself, and probably doing cartwheels and jumping jacks!!! Anyway, I just wanted to write some things about my grandpa. I love you Grandpa!!!!!!!
